Trump directs federal agencies to use SI
The order directs federal agencies to use Super Intelligence terminology.
President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14434 on September 29, 2026. It directs executive departments and agencies to use Super Intelligence and SI in place of Artificial Intelligence and AI in specified communications and documents, to the extent permitted by law.
The order initially uses the existing statutory definition of AI. It does not require historical documents to be rewritten. This is a change in federal terminology, not proof that a new level of intelligence has been achieved.
